Magic Jack Talk Free for phones?

Just installed it on my Iphone and think they have one for Androids. Anyone tried it? Says free calls to Canada and US

Have had it for several months on my Kindle Fire HD. It works perfectly, even better than using a handset with magicJack Plus.

Coincidentally, I recently installed this as well and have been happy with it the few tests I have made.

One thing though - since I already had a MagicJack account and I wasn't sure what would happen if the App was running at the same time as my MagicJack Plus was connected to wifi (if someone called the number would it ring on both? Neither? No idea.) I opted to receive the (new) free number. All well and good and allows phone calls between the two (App and Wifi phone). BUT anyone wishing to call me on my Android who is NOT calling from a MagicJack phone has to call a number in area code 305 (Miami) then punch in a ten digit code preceded and followed by * (star).

This is a major pain and is not adequately explained in the App itself.

We only have one magicJack number and incoming calls ring on both the tablet and the phone. No one calling in has had to dial anything additional or different than the 10 digit area code+number.

  +1= i agree with the previous post. 10 digit dialing work great for me.

ComWave's e-phone is available for iPhone, Android, and BB10 and Playbook.

Gives you a direct dial-able free # in your choice of area code, and free calls to US & C #'s.

However, call quality can be spotty.    Check it out, it may improve.

Yes, really any internet connected device that has mic and speakers / earphone.

Most iphone apps will work on ipods and ipads.

Try it and let us know.

Worked perfectly all over Europe recently (and here) on my iPad. I use it now instead of plugging the magic Jack dongle into my mac

Im not a fan of e-phone. Does not work very well on my smartphone. Almost impossible to get incoming calls. It is nice to be able to get a local area code though.
