I suspect that the article that Pedro is talking about is here:
Car Nationalizing by Sonia, Wednesday, July 17, 2013, 17:50 (440 days ago)
Note the date ! ! !

Sonia would be the last person to say the method is fraudulent.

Didn't Spencer use a similar method,ie;not taking it to the border, to "legalize" his car a while back?Pedro wrote:there is a person on facebook and a few forums that claims she can legalize vehicles through UCD.

I have legalized two without going to the border but those were under amparos and those people can no longer do it that way.
Also as I have not studied the issue nor had a client who has brought it to me I am unaware of all the details so am unable to comment.

I have studied the issue extensively. FYI, Over 100,000 used cars got cleared thru CBP and were legally exported from the USA to Mexico in 2013. Only expats using facilitators don't export.
Now people are getting arrested. How come? New law? I don't think so.

Recently I have had my posts deleted on this subject, here and Mexconnect, for attacking certain people and their opinions regarding these car issues. If you have an issue and want to stay LEGAL, MAYBE I can help. Send me a PM.
Here is something I posted on Mexconnect in June 2013. I still stand by this today! It was a response to Sonia's husband, John, who posted as Lovingmexico.
[Lovingmexico] Nationalizing a 1983 to 2007 NAFTA Made Car Using a "Facilitator"

So the cars being nationalized at the Guadalajara airport are illegal? The cars being nationalized by SS Auto are illegal. The cars being nationalized by Mexican auto dealers are illegal? the cars being nationalized in some states through organizations with government approval to do so are illegal? None are done by presenting the car at the border.
Yes, this is not totally legal. Robt65 spelled out the process for doing it 100% by the letter of the laws in the USA and Mexico. You need to export your vehicle thru "HOMELAND SECURITY"
Folks, there are 2 sets of laws. Mexico and USA laws and treaties. If you don't have USA customs export forms and paid the proper USA fees, than you have broken USA law. If the car is nationalized in Mexico without the proper USA export forms, some Mexican government agent or employee is breaking Mexican law.
This is Mexico and there are ways to get things done without following the letter of the law. People are putting money in their pockets. What is that word in Spanish? " MORDIDA"
John, I commend you for figuring out a way to get a pedimento and plates without going to the border. Having a former Aduana employee in your pocket (or is it the other way around) is a great asset. I wouldn't brag about it on a public forum. Also, if you are not including the proper export paperwork required by USA law and did not pay USA export fees for your American clients, you are not 100% legal
For the people affected by the new INM law that use brokers at Guad airport, John in SMA, the broker in Chetumal, S&S Auto, or the photo shop in Barria Navidad and they accomplish and get you the paperwork and plates, congratulations.
Realize that you all, knowingly or not, participated in the mordida conga line to accomplish it.
For the people that are considering nationalizing your cars from the comfort of you rocking chair, you have a 50/50 chance of succeeding in successfully getting your Mexican license plates. The other 50% get scammed (TIO corp and many others).
Remember that Big Brother (on both sides of the border) is more computerized than ever and is watching all of us.
Pedro, that is all I am willing to share publicly. I am not going to play "who knows the most".
I will keep you legal.
