Mangia Mia Christian's Cousine

I haven't seen anything mentioned about this restaurant on these forums, but I ate here after attending the preseason baseball game in Guadalajara last week and was pleasantly surprised - the food is excellent, atmosphere very nice and the prices are a bargain. I've read some good reviews of this restaurant on TOB, but also some very negative ones; in one recent case, the delay in getting the meal was extreme (over an hour). YMMV

Well, many  years ago it was Sr. Sushi when it first opened and I guess some others have came and gone but Christian has been there since the last, and I believe, only swarm.

If you count the switch from Giovanni to Christian, back to Giovanni, the back again to Christian, you can lose count.
And Cheers has gone the way of the Dodo bird.
That little strip goes through more restaurants than you can shake a stick at.
But Christian and Cassie will still get my business.

Went again today (okay, I confess I eat out a lot) and the food was just as good today as it was last weekend. Today I had the lasagna. There were a few gringo couples in the restaurant and a couple of tapatios. One man, who was with his family, started getting real upset, cursing and yelling, because his order was not coming out fast enough. ( He came in after I did and had been served an appetizer and drinks and had not been there long). This is not a fast food joint and he had ordered a calzone, which takes some time to bake. He ran back and started yelling and cursing at the cooks. His family just sat there like they were used to it.  Finally, another Mexican threatened to call the police, and Christian came out and calmed the angry man down and asked him to leave. Other than that unpleasant experience which was not the fault of the owner or staff, and handled well by all, the quality of the meal was excellent and now they serve very well prepared tiramisu.
