Where to buy buckwheat?
I have tried all the usual places (grain store beside Gossips, SuperLake, Casa International beside HSBC). It is call alforfon in Spanish.

There might be more chance to get buckwheat flour, if that would do.

Bob, have you looked through all the Bob's Red Mill products at SL? Adriana should be able to bring it from abastos Guadalajara to Granero for you.

I'm not sure that's such a good idea.

They never offered to bring it in although Casa International said they will get some. We'll see if they do. I did look through everything SL had. They only had flour and I need whole.

Groats. What you're looking for are buckwheat groats. I've seen them at SL among all the Bob's Red Mill packages - which sometimes are displayed in different parts of the store according to the classification.

I went back there and couldn't find any Bob's whole groats however I found another product of slightly crushed groats sold as a rice alternative called Kasha. It did the job for the recipe I was making.
