Apple Router Empty Apple Router

Post by Canada_Mike Sun Nov 20, 2016 12:18 pm

Hi,
I'm thinking of getting an Apple router, the Airport Extreme when I go north for Xmas. Then I can plug in my Airport Extreme upstairs. Hoping this might make a difference.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Michael

Apple products are rather pricey, why not something from Netgear or Linksys or Belkin? What kind of difference are you hoping to see? If your current equipment is functioning properly, the only likely benefit will be a stronger signal upstairs, but it won't improve the crappy service from Telmex.

Thanks, but I get it through my business, and I've had great luck w my Apple router, and I do want an improved signal upstairs.

I use 2 Apple routers (airport extremes); one as the router and one as an extender to cover my whole house and garden terrace. Easy to set-up.

Yes, agree. And they don't seem to wear out.

I am very happy with my Apple Airport Extreme.

I can't find the article that I read yesterday to post the link but according the the article Apple is getting out of the router business.

There is an article on the macworld.com website that says Apple has disbanded its router group.
