Missing Shaw channels

I am missing some Shaw channels again. No signal on the T2 side. Anyone else missing any channels?

Further to above my HDPVR box is the one missing some channels. My other non PVR box still gets all the channels just fine. I assume it has something to do with the PVR box having two connections to the dish (T1 & T2) to be able to get two different channels at once.

Correct Bob, the HDPVR box needs both input cables to work correctly. Sounds like you have a problem with one of the cables, lost one of the outputs on the 4x4 switch or your HDPVR box has an issue. Could also have a software issue in the box and has somehow got into a different map status and thinks you have a different type of LNB setup.

I guess I'll start with the LNB and cables and work my way from there.

The LNB's are probably OK if you are getting all of the channels on the non PVR box. The #1 suspect would be a bad cable or connector on one of the coax cables coming from the 4x4 switch to the PVR.

Yep bad cable on the T2. Replaced it and all is good now. Muchas gracias.

BTW......Shaw told me the way to diagnose the problem was to switch the two cables at the box. If the problem goes from the T2 to the T1 and vice versa then it is a bad cable. If the problem is still with the T2 then the second tuner in your box is burned and you will need a new box. A temporary fix is to "enable" a single tuner connection (in your settings) to get all your channel's from the T1. You just won't be able to record and watch a different channel at the same time.
