Open mikes dec./Jan 2016/17?

Hi, we are visitors here this winter and my partner is a saxophonist who plays jazz and world music. We are looking for jams or open mikes that he can participate in.  So far we have only heard of La bodega on Wednesdays from 5 pm to 7 pm and will be heading there today.  Does anyone know of others around the lake this winter?

They used to have a jam night at El Barco on Monday nights. Check with them.

La Bodega in Ajijic, Wednesdays, 5:00-7:30

El Patio in Chapala, corner of Francisco Madero (the main north/south street) and Ninos Heroes (same block as the church), Thursdays, 5:00-7:30.

Thanks very much for those suggestions we will be checking them out. Last night at la Bodega was great!

They also play jazz at El Barco on Sunday afternoons. Things are pretty loose around here so they may let you go up and jam with them. Also check with Ocampo 71 in Ajijic as they play a lot of jazz there too.
