Buy United stock now (IMO)

Post by Clueless on Sun Apr 16, 2017 8:57 am

United stock (UAL) has crashed, but the public has a short memory and United is not going out of business.

In the last five days, it has gone from a high of 72 and closed Friday at 69.

In my experience and opinion, United stock will pull back up within the next 6 months to a year.

IMO, good investment.

I would agree with you if it fell a whole lot further. 2% is a mere blip. 20% would be worthy of the risk although IMO all airline stocks are risky.

Yes invest 34,500,000USD and buy at 69 and when it goes up to 71 sell and youve made a million dollars! Well maybe subtract commissions and fees. Im sure lots of people lakeside appreciate know the secret to being millionaires and will be soon pushing the price back up with their multimillion dollar investments in United stock.

I agree with C-Bob. It is not a crash, just a small dip. Not worth the hassle.

In realistic terms....a $100,000 makes you 2K after a year or so. I can do way better than that.....

I was thinking a long time ago when eBay was hit with some massive lawsuit and the stock dropped deeply, as I recall, more then 20%.

I told one of my friends I would bet to buy and within 6 months, the stock would come back. He bought a very large amount of stock.

Well, I was wrong. Within 45 days, eBay had come back up and he made a pot of money that he didn't need.

I also use to follow pharmaceutical companies, and when something they were working on went into second phase clinical trials, I bought big. Over all, when the meds were approved, the stock went up and a good profit was made.

Although once I fell for a "Pump and dump" and got burned.

Too much of a roller coaster now.

Isn't the stock market considered a 'long term investment'? At my age, I don't think that's applicable!
