What do you guys think?

I like this!

No more computer OS upgrade ripoffs, no more computers!
All you need is a tablet, WiFi, Bluetooth, cloud for storage, and this for serious writing. . .
Inexpensive too!

I sure like the "wood" one. They don't seem to support Linux, which would be a big problem for me, because Linux is extremely stable and works with minimum memory. It is also free.

Devices like this have come and gone for a long time now. I remember I was offered a free "Sunrise" computer, in the early 1980's, as long as I endorsed it. I used to travel internationally a lot at the time, and did a lot of typing. I waited, and waited, turns out it was a massive scam - the screenshots on the unit were from a computer in another room.

It seems to be nothing more than a very attractive wi-fi keyboard - you still need something with a computer chip and operating system? Am it right on this? Wireless keyboards and mouse I have had in the past are real battery gobblers. There are lots of devices like this in China. Check on DHgate.com. They ship to Mexico no problem. Some of the devices include solar charging panels.

If you are the type of person who is easily distracted by games, social networking, etc -having a standalone, portable word processor would be a good thing. I am not sure if this is it.

For many, the tablet with external keyboard, mouse and cloud storage may the way of the present and the future. Most people do not need anything more than that.
Unfortunately those of us using specialised business software are not able to use a tablet. We need the 24" monitor and the larger keyboards for our work on the computer several hours a day.
I would wish that the software I use would be available in Linux but not enough demand. I would move in a minute. I would even go to Android
I am happy with W10 which I had as a trial about 3 years ago. HP had an all in one a couple of years ago with an Android OS. Don't know how successful it was but a good idea for many.
Wireless KB and Mouse don't use as much battery power as they did a few years ago. One set of batteries seems to last about 6 months.
Many companies seem to have become involved with cloud storage. Years ago I used Carbonite which was one of the few available. With that I could recover a single file in no time at all, nowadays it seems that one has to restore the whole backup to get at a single file. I got a good deal last week on an Adata 1tb external drive and with a free backup program I can schedule backups during the night and a restore only takes a few minutes. I like to have control over what my computer does. The external drive cost less than one year of cloud storage.
