RIP Pepe

I just heard from Aurora (Pepe & Aurora's restaurant) that Pepe has passed away. Way too young.

RIP Pepe.

Descanse en Paz Pepe con tu hija.

And of course Aurora can use any financial support we can give. She is still running that little restaurant in Riberas.

It is called La Casita and it is directly across from Telecable in Riberas.

We will drop by with a small contribution--to my mind, Aurora does not need to be cooking right now. Relatives own that place, I believe, so she will be with family.

I continue to miss the place they had in west Ajijic--great pizza and lovely cognac dishes. I will always remember Pepe, who used one shot for the dish and one shot for the cook. I identify with that a lot. Plus, they had the best pizza on the west end of Ajijic!

I agree with JayBear about the pizzas at La Bambola. They were spectacular!
