New location for Marlowe's

Marlowe's store used to be just up from La Nueva Posada in Ajijic. Does anyone know where they moved to?

Hmmm......I thought it was still there under new ownership?

Across the street and up a few doors from the old corner location.
Almost directly across from Cydney's restaurant and sandwich shop.
New ownership.

Are you trying to find out where they moved to and opened up a new store that sells some of their special products?
I read where he opened up in San Juan Cosala, but don't know address or phone.

I can help. La Dildoria is now selling the products that you're looking for. Marlowe has opened up a small spa and is NOT selling those products in San Juan Cosala... neither is the old location of her store.

This is bizarre. We're supposed to be "discreet" in our enquiries when a food store disappears without warning and its wares are being offered at a sex toy shop on the Q.T.? Sounds like INdiscretion is all but mandatory!

It was nice to be able to buy the breads in particular and some of Marlowe's other offerings without dealing with the Tuesday market frenzy and the quite recent article in the Guadalajara Reporter made it sound like some lovely local Mexicanas who made the key products for Marlow's had taken over the store. They didn't even make it for two months and there's been no notice anywhere. Very strange.

You want bizarre? Why not. The Dildoria proprietor has a real off the wall sense of humor. Recently spotted on the chalkboard sign out front:
"Our dildos are 100% GMO free".

I hope that was discreet enough.

Actually Gringal the sign says "Our dildos are 100% gluten AND GMO-free." Not sure how the gluten-free part is gonna jibe with them carrying whole grain breads, but maybe Green Door Bakery is renaming themselves. "Behind the Green Door Bakery."

Ooops. Missed that part. Very important to mention the gluten free aspect.

Far as I know, Slainte, and according to their FB page, the ladies who took over Marlowe's shop are still in that location. And, are we really talking about food here?

coffeeguy says they didn't last two months, so I don't know.   I only went there once when they first took over and were getting set up. That was a couple of months ago.

OK mystery solved. The store is there (must have just been closed last time we went by), right across the street from the sandwich place and about a block up from the old #4 location. Very nice people running the place. Hope they make it.

Sorry to see the combined Dildorea/Organic Bakery concept go though. Would have been so very Ajijic Chic.
