OK, what's the take on this one.

C-BOB says Transito says no ATVs or Golf carts on the streets. Forget all the Mexicans that use these and maybe only one gringo (me). Here is what I just don't understan: You buy an ATV and you need to register it (Yes?). You pay the fee and get your papers, a license plate and whatever the stickers that you put on the windscreen you don't have.

I'm assuming an ATV owner doesn't need a license to drive it off the road or on private property. So why did I have to register mine and have been paying all the fees for many years? Doesn't a license plate give me the right to drive it on the streets?

Now the LOL and WTF.

Being the basic criminal type, I take my ATV into Chapala today, coming back I see a Chapala, Transito Police parked behind a car double parked with no one inside of the car. And what is the Transito transitoing in?  Right. A little ATV. A Spencer question, of first impression? LOL & WTF I saw in Chapala today. 374777

For me, it I get stopped, I'll not only tell the cop I don't speak Spanish, but will give him a tin of  "Altoids" for his trouble. I'm sure he will like the dulce treat inside.

I wanted to take a picture but figured I better not. Driving an illegal vehicle on the streets and using a cell phone? That's hard time I'm sure, with free lodging at the Hotel Greybar.
