Indian Curry

GIANT SHOUT-OUT TO RAJ OF INDIAN CURRY for curing my ill-feeling stomach yesterday with his magic Indian potion! My taste buds craved curry but my stomach said 'gimme a break!' I asked Raj what Indians did when their stomachs didn't feel up to par. So he made me a drink of mint, carbonated water, salt, and honey - and I don't know what else - and said drink this and you'll be well by the time you get home. He was right! And my curry comida tasted wonderful as always. If you haven't tried Indian Curry in the Laguna Mall food court yet, you're missing out!

It's a real treat IMO, though some have said it's not as "authentic" as they think it should be. I cut a lot of slack for a mall stall, and as far as I know, it's the best around for that style. I always bring enough home as a base for leftovers.

Too bad you did not get all of the recipe for the stomach potion.

I will get it from him. Should also say he wouldn't accept a peso for it.

Ginger. a few slices of raw in hot water, honey & mint. Powdered ginger as well. But his was a cold drink, so dunno. Authentic Indian restaurants also have bowls of sweetened fennel seed & a spoon to take a scoopful to chew, after a spicy meal helps w/ digestion.
