Renewing Telcel online

Has anyone successfully renewed their Telcel account online without going to one of the local offices? I have tried, but failed. Would be nice to be able to do this, especially if traveling.

I add money to my TelCel phone via the TelMex website. It gets added to your next bill.

Thanks for the response - I apologize in a advance if my question is annoying, etc. Your comment "I add money to my TelCel phone via the TelMex website. It gets added to your next bill." Is this the same as paying your bill??? When you do this, if you send the USSD *135# - will it show the balance as updated?

I log into my account on TelMex. They have a button that says "add TelCel $$". I click on that, enter my TelCel number and voilà $$$ is added to my TelCel phone. When I get my monthly TelMex bill the TelCel charges are added to it. And yes when I hit *133# on my TelCel phone it shows what I just added. I also get all the texts from TelCel telling me I just added $$$.

And I also thank you Bob because I didn't know that. I should have renewed yesterday but got caught up in renewing my Canadian passport. The good news, is that you can still receive phone calls and send/receive texts even if your plan has expired.

I add pesos to my Telcel# using when logging in to my MX bank. I use the 'compra tiempo de aire' option.

I use the MiTelcel web page to pay both my TelCel contract phone and to recharge our pre-paid phone. It took a couple of tries to get a credit card set up, but I have no problems now. I log in, select the payment page, select my payment method, confirm the security code for my card and hit the pay button. For the pre-paid, I enter the phone #, select the amount I want to add, select the payment method and hit the pay button.
