Do we need to pay Domestics more

A good housekeeper working for Merry Maids in Texas only makes 8.00 starting and up to 12.00 an hour.

I saw an ad say $25.00 for freelance on Next Door app. The comments were priceless. Later the post was deleted.

Enjoy Texas,in France you cannot get anyone for less than 30 euros an hour..that includes insurance , ss pension, paid vacations  medical so they really get 15 euros an hour when all is deducted. If you get someone working under the table and get caught , the employer gets a bg fine.

Good housekeepers free lance make from 8.00 to whatever the employer will pay. I hired a lady for 6 hours to mop, sweep, vacuum dust and clean 2 bathooms, I paid 75.00. That's the average for freelance sometimes it takes a little longer other times she's out quicker.

I called Merry Maids and they wanted 175.00 for 2 ladies and 4 hour minimum. The reason I know what they pay is I know a woman who works for them.
