D L Renewal

It's that time again. Friend and I are looking for the easiest/closest place to do it. I heard there is an office to renew at the north end of that outlet mall on the left on Lopez Mateos before you get into Guadalajara. Anybody else know about this option?

I went to the one in a mall lose to the Abastos.  Can't remember the name of the mall but it's JUST next to Lazaro Cardenas.  Easy parking underneith and up two flights straight into their office.  EZPZ.

Yes. I didn't either. Joco peeos go there. Southern part of the mall, big sign, and pay there. Sounds good to me.

Question -- Isn't there a driver's license renewal location in Tlaquepaque that is a bit closer than Plaza Las Torres? (Calle Rosales 341, Los Meseros.)

Going Tuesday. Friend just went and was in and out in 45 min. Photos there and pay there.

In terms of the CURP, I have one from 10 years ago, the green one with bar code, do i have to download the new one and print in color or is the old one acceptable? Anybody know? My understanding is it's all about the bar code.

They wanted a paper download when I renewed mine two years ago.

The one in Plaza Torres had a print shop right next to it and were printing out Curps for people.

No Plaza Torres is a different place. I think it is just off Larenzo cordaris (sp).

PIECE OF CAKE!!! Completely painless.

This DL location was a dream. Took about an hour total, mas o menos. Long lines but they go very fast. VERY helpful and friendly staff! One fluent English speaker if needed. Can't say enough good about the experience. Tons of parking, pay for the license there and bring your INAPAM card for 50% off, 4 year license, pics and fingerprints taken there. . .

A couple of things:
Pay for parking with your ticket at the machine just inside the mall entrance.
If you're not paying attention you could fly past the mall on your way up Lopez Mateos, so pay attention - if you get to Costco you blew it. After you see the mall there is a retorno 2 kilometers up the highway past the mall (Plazas Outlets Mall) to safely make the return to southbound Lopez Mateos so stay in the left lane, after you make the retorno stay to the right and pay attention for the entrance to the mall.

Thanks for the update Trailrunner! What end of the Outlet Mall is the office?

South end. You will enter the mall and go towards Coppell, there you will see the office and the line. There is a security guard outside at the entrance of the mall who will direct and escort you to the office. We never had to stand in the long line, don't know why. Someone said those people had appointments.

When you get to the office there is a man in uniform at the entrance who will look at your copies, ask a couple of questions, and direct you to the first window to start the process.
