They are pretty common now in Guadalajara. Generally if you stick in the left lane or fast lane you can avoid them. They usually are on streets that are 4 to 5 lanes wide and one way such as Vallarta by Gran Plaza, R Michel 1km or 2 before Lazaro Cardenas junction and Hidalgo between Chapultapec and Independencia.
