TelCel Time Empty TelCel Time

Post by Bill Phillips Mon Feb 11, 2013 10:02 am

When I check the time remaining on my TelCel phone by dialing *133# the following info is displayed:
Amigo $45.86 Regalo $202.44

What's it mean? What's the difference between "Amigo" and "Regalo"?

Amigo refers to your regular account balance. This credit will roll over if you keep the account current. Regalo means "present" and refers to bonus credits to your account. This credit has a time limit and will not roll over if not used within the time limit.

I thought that as long as I was current that my Regalo would stay there. I also understand that I can only use my Regalo when calling another Telcel number.

Please someone correct me if I am wrong. Or if no one knows, I can wait until the 17th when I put more time on my Telcel Amigo (plan fidelida) cell phone. And I can check to see what happens to my Regalo (balance) on the 18th, the final day of my 2 month period.

I stopped by a Telcel franchise today and asked whether my Regalo is carried forward to the next billing period and the agent said yes.

I assume everyone with a phone number has an account you can access online. Probably can get more info there than dialing 133

Yeah, and if anyone can tell me where the checkbox is on my account to turn off the BACKUP MY CONTACTS every 48 hours, I would be really, really happy. I believe I set that up some time ago and now I cannot get rid of it. When it's time to back up, the phone beeps every 5 minutes. It's like torture.
