I haven't tried it yet but it is purported to have a load of good qualities, like BP regulation, cholesterol control and triglyceride control to name a fraction of the list. They say people are selling it at the Monday and Friday Markets, and it is pretty easy to grow. You can even grow it on a big planter on the patio.

Had a friend in Colima give me 6 Neem trees and all but one are with my neighbors. My only Neem has babies from seeds dropping so I have probably 10 more coming. One neighbor got the largest young one as he has Diabetes and claims it controls sugar levels. We made a tea from leaves and it's pretty bad.

Also using the leaves around the base of plants as an insecticide and is supposed to chase away mosquitoes near the tree. It's in bloom now

I have a bag of Neem which I bought from a curandera in Chapala, and she told me to use just a pinch of it in other teas. It's a strong herb. I don't know if it should be used on a daily basis. I was told to use it lightly and when symptoms stopped, discontinue use. Some herbs are like that and should not be used as beverage teas. I understand the moringa can be used as a beverage tea, is quite versatile in its medicinal values and can be used daily.

You can buy ground and crushed leaves of the Moringa tree at La Granjera (sp.?) which is immediately west of Gossips Restaurant on the Highway in Ajijic. There is tons of information about it on Google.
I know that making a tea with Moringa destroys some of the valuable nutrients. We take ours every morning...1 tsp of ground moringa + 1 tsp of virgin coconut oil + 1 tsp of pure maple syrup...mix and eat with a spoon...and it ain't half bad.

Ferret:

Two questions:
1) Does the high priestess perform the ceremony before or after consumption each day?
2) What is the length of the high?

I'm starting to think that someone has stolen your identity Neil. Your posts are not sounding like you at all these days.

I think this "knob business" exchange with HG has given Neil a bad hair day.
Funny thing is...nobody seems to know what it means, as the Canucks can't agree, and the only authority is an American. scratch
I'm clueless. Very Happy

Maybe Neil needs some soothing moringa tea? He can have my small supply for free - hate the taste, don't care how good it is for me!! Beer

look again slainte39. we do agree on it as a derivative of "doorknob". we are the only authorities, as practicers of the queen's english-n'est pas?
which reminds me,in quebec it would be knob la porte. i went to school with a guy whose name was dick laporte who you probably would never dare call a knob.
