Hello All. My name is Erin Dixon and my husband is Michael Dixon. We have been visiting the area for the past 16 years or so and in the last year we moved here permanently from Washington state (I am originally from Iowa and my husband is from Vancouver, B.C.). We have a 7 year old daughter attending school here. And two grown boys who are in the states studying presently.

I have studied and practiced a number of types of bodywork therapies for all aspects of healing the self for over a decade now. Did you know there are many studies on specific, therapeutic massage to treat low back pain among other ailments? The Wall Street Journal said, “While massage may have developed a reputation as a decadent treat for people who love pampering, new studies are showing it has a wide variety of tangible health benefits…[one research project showed] people who received one of two types of massage – one relaxing, the other more targeted [deep tissue type of therapy] – once a week for 10 weeks had less pain and disability than those who didn’t receive massage, in a study of 401 people with low back pain published last year. For pain or serious conditions you want to see a therapist who is specifically trained and experienced.
