We found a fishing store in Guadalajara that has everything for Salt and Fresh water fishing. They have all the Bass gear and bait as well as the surf casting stuff. They are quite familiar with what's happening at Agua Milpa.

Prices are OK.

worms - 4.20 pesos each
bullet weights - 2.60 pesos each
Eagle Claw hooks - 1.70 pesos each
Large tackle box - 294.00 pesos

I saw some nice bait casting reels for around $800 pesos

And for when the fish just aren't cooperating they also sell cast nets for around 600 pesos.
