brown out in chapala??

anybody else? strange that one circuit that i had work done on yesterday is working and all the rest are almost totally out.

Not me , I have full power here in Chapala Centro. Telecable Internet was out for a while though.

Same for me in Chapala Centro. No power issues, but internet outage. However, for me it was Telmex, and it was yesterday. On and off for about an hour in the afternoon.

i just realised that this is a silly question because if you had a brown out you wouldn't be able to answer. the store next door is out too but not totally just like us. we are in west chapala on hidalgo.

I live near the malecon in Chapala and woke up to a brownout. It's about 10:30 now and I have full power.

Houses can have one, two , or three phase into the house.  Look up on the poles and you can see the wires one above each other. One can lose one phase and another stays up which is why sometimes you only lose part of the house electricity but not all. Phases are generally fused and sometimes if you draw too much on one phase a fuse will blow. This  does not effect the other phases which are on there own fuse. The big box with the big pull lever on side generally has the fuses in them. We generally use big breakers NOB to do the same thing. So you can pop a fuse
for one phase or CFE drops supplying electricity to a phase. Sounds since the power  came back that CFE dropped a phase for a while. They
probably popped a big fuse up in the poles as the grid itself has fuses like your house.

we got rid of the fuses and only have breakers and everything is grounded just like NOB. 8 circuits- 220
