I was reading a thread on another forum,  and was surprised how quickly the discussion about "WidowsWeeds" turned ugly. The main bone of contention was the topic of wearing black.

I have been to funerals in Mexico in which they are not like NOB "traditional" funerals.  I have been to many southern funerals which by the way still remain traditional far more so than other areas in the US.

I would love to hear about your experiences of Mexican funerals and customs but not limited to Mexico.

That being said I prefer to be cremated and have my ashes sprinkled around a very old magnificent tree amongst the wildflowers on my property with a rustic cross.
