Re: PEPE
He had surgery on Tuesday, and Thursday afternoon when we stopped by for margaritas, he was on his way back here by ambulance.
As to the total success of the operation, only time will tell.
I spoke with him Monday night, and while he was afraid, he was optimistic.
Aurora says that he refuses to stay at home alone, and he will be at the restaurant as much as possible.
There is an office with a bed there, and I hope that he rests as much as possible.
I will stop by tomorrow and post an update here.
Let's give him as much space to rest, while showing him that we care.
Not an easy balance, but one which is best.

Re: PEPE
I know,,,,a little off topic! Pepe is the finest gentlemen and professional man I have ever had the meeting. Back in 2004 - 2010, Pepe went over the top, attempting to save wild life and pets. Back in those days we were saving all kinds of wild life. We brought in Skunks, sugar bats, possum corn snakes......you name it! Not once did Pepe charge for treatment,,,,.........PEPE YOU ARE A STAR!

Thank you for the update. I feel so sorry for him and his family. They are so young and have always been kind to everyone.

Re: PEPE
Aurora and Pepe are just the type of people that I feel comfortable around.
They have had a lot of bad times over the past 18 months, but it is a tribute to who they are, that people have rallied around them to help them out.
My only suggestion is that we give Pepe the time that he needs to recover.
Please go there and support them, but remember that he needs to rest to recover.
And when the time comes, maybe a swarm.

Re: PEPE
Went to visit Pepe today. His spirits are high, and he is BORED.
It will be several weeks before he knows if everything was a success.
Here's hoping it is all good.

Re: PEPE
Drove by today, saw Pepe sweeping in front of the restaurant, so we decided to come back later for dinner. He's doing well, today is his first day out of bed. He said they fixed his hernia, took out his gallbladder and a couple of small (non-cancerous) tumors.
So it looks like our friend is on the mend.
