Sunbeam Mixer Repair

Does anyone know a small appliance shop that could look at our Sunbeam mixer? It is brand new but,
the motor stops after about three seconds. We bought it in the states so do not want to take it back-
heavy - to exchange it - then bring back down again. Thought we could have it checked here to see
if it is just some simple thing. Thank you in advance.

Up the hill ON Colon, one block north of the traffic light on the Carretera. On the east side of the street, or your left, if driving, as Colon is a one way street heading south.
Northeast corner of Colon and Felipe Angeles.

Sometimes it seems like it!

I brought our coffee maker there and the result wasn't great.
Brought it home and with first try, there was black smoke coming out the back of the coffee maker and kept smoking for about 5 minutes.
Brought it back, they questioned me but sent it back for repair.
It now works ok but I don't trust it and once it's done, I unplug it immediately.
Ohhhh, and it came back all scratched ... it was almost a new machine and I pride myself on my stuff (vain, I know).

There was a good guy at the back of Handi Mail. Handi Mail is 1 block east of Superlake.

I haven't been in there for a year but I guess it is still there.
