SWARM 20 - NEW DATE

Sorry everyone but Mangia Mia's is closed on Tuesdays so let's do it on Wednesday. I deleted all the previous replies so lets start again.

Thanks. But I've seen multiple places referred to as "Giovanni's" so still not sure. Is this the little strip area where Tabarka's used to be (now Cheers), but at the other end?

They were open yesterday, as I was there talking with them around 2:00pm.

I'll be there.  I'm not familiar with Ajijic.  Are there directions that would help me find it?  Which side of carretera coming from Riberas?  Cross street or recognizable landmark?  Thanks

It is on the mountain side in West Ajijic in the same little strip mall that Tabarka used to be in. I am not sure of the cross street. Anyone?

Once you pass Frida Azul on the lake side, look for a small driveway onto the mountain side lateral. There is a vivero there, Mangia Mia is right next door. Sorry, don't know the name of the street either. Is it too late to join your swarm if we've never done it before? If it's not, add 2 for Michael and Shannon.

isn't it just before the sign that denotes the road to danza del sol on the lake side if you're coming from the east?

Yes, that sounds about right.

The little strip mall? runs between Rio Nazas and Rio Bravo.

The concrete divider has a painting of an Aztec snake along it.
Dental Express is on the south side of the carretera just before Rio Nazas.

Driving west, watch for Dental Express on the lake side. Then, on the mountain side there will be a very colorful mural painted on the concrete barriers separating the street from the bicycle path. Take the next right (Rio Bravo). You can park there, next to "Cheers" bar. The restaurant is at the east end of that building. Map here:

Zen and Heather, great job of describing where it is for people who have no idea where it is. You provided street names and great visual cues. Perfecto!

Just remember that if you turn right on Rio Bravo (coming from the east) you cannot turn right again legally onto the lateral in front of the restaurant. Better to turn right one block before onto Rio Nazas and then left onto the lateral, going the correct way, as there is usually parking in front of the restaurant and it is closer to Rio Nazas than Rio Bravo.

If that doesn't confuse you, I will try again.  ....and maybe someone should notify Transito that there maybe a "business opportunity".   
Comimg from the west?...well there isn't enough band width.... better to circumnavigate the lake counter clockwise or just take your chances (if you know what I mean).
I am going to tell Christian to stand in the middle of the hiway waving a towel like they do in Piedra Barrenada.

Slainte, most people will probably have to park on Rio Bravo anyways as there is only parking for a few vehicles out front.
