As Chapalagringa said, "Security is very personal and you need to do what makes you feel comfortable because it's your home and life." She has figured out what she needs to be comfortable in her life.
At the other end of the spectrum, we have people who think they are living in Mayberry. They are foolish and careless, almost asking to be robbed. They are the "low hanging fruit" for the opportunistic thieves.
I think most of us are somewhere in between. We understand the risks and take the precautions at home that make us feel comfortable. When we are out and about, we do not make ourselves targets.
We all need to take of ourselves. We have to figure out what works for us. Then we can go out and enjoy life here. There is so much to enjoy.

Many times when a search warrant was served in Nashville, money and a stash was found in the freezer. Personal stash and business money.

Lots of places to stash ID that doesn't require a safe.   What does a non-removable, non-bustable safe cost
