Websites and webhosting Empty Websites and webhosting

Post by dogperson Fri Oct 10, 2014 2:05 pm

I am looking for advise on these topics. I am not very computer savvy but would like to have a website that I can maintain myself.  My business has frequent price changes and information changes, which currently I require the web designer to alter for me, a bit of a pain for both of us. I would like to be able to change the details and occasional photo on my site by myself but have only basic computer skills, and don't know the first thing about creating or maintaining a website. Is there a web hosting service that offers user friendly - do it yourself - information upgrades and maintenance for those people like me without programming knowledge.

Most hosting sites will have a site template library. Choose from templates for type of site, subject, theme, etc. I haven't used the ones on my site so don't know how user friendly they are. Might see some by searching "built in site templates" but still gonna be hard for a first timer

I was in the same position as you: wanting to build and design a site, maintain control and be able to change things on my own, but being completely non tech-savvy. I used a DIY website building tool called Weebly. They have made it as simple as possible. Lots of tutorials, question/answer material, hand-holding, and support. There are some limitations, so it depends on what your needs are, but they have made it dead easy. Good luck.
