Weather
I was going to complain about the crummy weather lately, but then I checked the weather back home this morning. -42F with the wind chill. I changed my mind.

Re: Weather
It was 5 degrees Fahrenheit last night in the WShington DC area, and Leslie tells me that some forecasts are predicting a foot of snow.

Re: Weather
Well some sales people claimed it was sunny and warm every day and only rained at night.........jaja. Yeah right!!! The winter months have been getting cloudier, wetter and colder the past several years. Is it a cyclical thing or climate change? Who knows. I know we are getting out of here for a couple of months next winter.

Can't say I blame you, but this weather in NOTHIN' like what's going on where most of us came from, so we just keep calling Saul (the wood guy) and having another load brought in for the fireplace. Then clustering around it every evening with the rest of the house closed off.
The trouble is that these houses were not designed to be comfortable in chilly weather. It takes those thick walls a bunch of time to warm up, since the whole idea was keeping the heat OUT. So, those of us who remember CENTRAL HEATING (oh weep) with thermostats and never having to wear heavy clothes indoors are feeling the misery. Based on how much wood we're bringing in this year, the climate is definitely colder than it was ten years ago. Cause? Cyclical or climate change. Nobody seems to be sure.
It would be nice to leave for the beach in mid November and return in March.......but that's not an option for many. Too much stuff to deal with right here. What's funny is watching the Snowbirds trooping around town in shorts and tee shirts.

????? Read my post, nothing there about being "sold" anything.
What Gringal said is what really long term residents, Mexican and expat, are telling us. It has been exceptionally cloudy here this winter. I have no idea if that is the same observation for where you live in GDL.
