I'm sorry my wording was confusing in my original post, I was merely thinking out loud when I was using an exclamation point rather than a question mark, "Oh my what to do and what will it cost me next to figure out this mess"! I appreciate the kind advice from those of you that gave an informative and kind opinion. The general consensus will be helpful for anyone researching crossing the Mexico border who stumbles over this forum, especially for the first time, who is not a Mexican citizen. All the helpful feedback won't be for nothing I am sure, and it was very kind for those who responded to advise me on their opinion and/or experiences.

Maybe Pamarie has a found a solution that she doesn't want to share with all of us. I too would like to know, but I can understand why she may choose to keep it private.

Why not let him think about it for a while without badgering him. Maybe than he will tell us. Everybody makes mexico mistakes we just don't talk about them. He went public.

I will simply put it out here that I went through it the way I said I was going to and yesterday my paperwork was accepted at the immigration office. I am sorry if anyone feels slighted because I didn't take their heeded advice but I already began the process when I posted this to begin with so I wanted to see it through. It may come back to bite me in the behind but according to the people I am getting to know outside of this forum many people are doing it the way I did it and there have been no repercussions for them as of yet that I've been told anyway. It is all an adventure and this part of it is confusing and nerve racking for sure, so once I get back my actual visa completed and I'm fingerprinted here in Mexico, I will be relieved! It will than be all behind me hopefully.

I think it's wise of you not to discuss the details here and I wish you well Pamarie.
