SIMAPA Water Delivery - not
Anyone else having delivery problems in Upper Ajijic (above Salvador's).? Haven't had any for 2 days.
Used to have frequent problems years ago, but the last few years have been great.

Go walk to the water department in Ajijic and talk to them. I have found them to be very responsive to the personal touch and SMILE!

Re: SIMAPA Water Delivery - not
The water has been almost off for the last week in the morning until 11am or so at my house in lower Ajijic. . The gardner told me about it but he did not know why this was happening. SIMAPA is supposed to be at the house at 10 AM this morning as I went by yesterday about a meter issue and they told me that today they would close at 1PM so you may want to go by early as they will be closed until Monday.

Thanks for the info. Water here is usually delivered in the middle of the night/early morn. My aljibe is totally empty and the tenaco is getting there.
Where is the SIMAPA office in Ajijic. I have only dealt with the one in San Antonio?

If you live in San Antonio then go to their office, otherwise if in Ajijic go to that office.

Simapa in Ajijic is directly behind Farmacia Guadalajara -- on the street below and parallel to the carretera.

Thanks to all that helped.
SIMAPA is having a pump problem & (of course) will be closing for the holiday and will address the issue on Monday. I have ordered a water truck delivery.

We are about 1/2 block up the hill behind Telmex...seem to have water coming into our front spigot just a few feet from the street.

Re: SIMAPA Water Delivery - not
Our local hardware store can arrange for a delivery of a "pipa" - that is, a tanker truckload of water. I'm assuming that other hardware stores could do the same, if you're running dry. I wouldn't use it for drinking or brushing my teeth, but works fine for watering plants and flushing toilets.
Re: SIMAPA Water Delivery - not
yes but once you have it in your aljibe your system is contaminated if the water is not good. THen you need to put chlorine in it --
The phone number is 766 0423.

Re: SIMAPA Water Delivery - not
Update: I had 9000 liters delivered yesterday, which filled the aljibe to about half. About 2:30PM a SIMAPA employee came round & said the water would be flowing in 45min. At about 6PM the water started coming in, so I breathed a sigh of relief. However, this morning checked the aljibe and it is only half full so maybe the repair did not hold and with my sprinkler cycle, it put me right back where I was 2:30 Thurs. I have another "pipa" sp? truck scheduled for 11AM Saturday - just in case.
