What on earth is that racket and where is it coming from? We are behind Telmex and it sounds like it's coming from Salvado's area but didn't read about anything at the arena.....

I felt sorry for those living down the hill......

Bands, bells and cohetes everywhere last night. Being Easter and one of the busiest weekends of the year I wouldn't expect it to be quiet. Noise tends to travel up hill so those above the noise probably get it the worst.

Yep, living up in the hills with that stupendous view has its price.
Nice and tranquilo last night in SAT, this morning nothing but rigorous church bells at 7.

My being almost deaf and wearing hearing aids with an on/off switch does have its upside.

For those fortunate to have all their hearing left, I recommend http://www.hearos.com/ as they will let you sleep at a banda concert.

Sorry, but if you expected to move to a country where most of the people are Catholic, where Easter is probably the biggest celebration of the year, and have no noise.....you are sadly mistaken! Maybe you need to find a quieter place?

We came here from Mazatlan or what some of its former residents call the Mississippi of Mexico....no offense to those from there....I have VERY southern roots, so I know of what I speak....
We have been residents of Mexico for over 20 years so know what to expect, in fact when I sold real estate in MZT, I always told my clients that if they. could not tolerate noise, then Mexico probably was not for them. I do not remember complaining about the noise...just asked about it.
Plus being a Mexican citizen probably allows me to complain about a lot!!!!

Yeah, I didn't see any complaint. Shouldn't get too quick on the trigger chiding people, especially when there wasn't anything to chide about.

I thought the OP was funny, actually. I could feel his pain. Sounds like it was that place on the roof at PB, it gets plenty of complaints for volume (and lack of talent).

In fact, I thought we be hearing from EZPZ any minute! There would be some serious complaining for you suegarn.

The noise was almost certainly from the third floor open-air, outdoor bar on top of El Torito/Plaza Bugambilias. (There was some minor banda from Lienzo Charro as well, but not what this is about.) The band area on the third floor of Plaza Bugambilias faces the mountains on the upper deck. It was Saturday night during a holiday week with enormous traffic/visitors in town. I know the venue and it's only open when they know they can attract a significant crowd. It's actually a great space. (Sorry.)

I live very near the OP, up the hill behind Telmex just to the west. Didn't hear a thing, with windows open, slept like a log. But I was really tired. And acoustics are so mysterious and complicated.

Importantly, thank God EZPZ isn't a part of this forum.

That doesn't seem to be a requisite for the complainers on TOB.

EZPZ probably didn't have time to write her usual novela about the noise which includes all her history and expertise in acoustics for music events.
