Searching for pond plants and fish

Hello,

We are new to Ajijic and hunting for a place to purchase water plants and fish for our pond. We have not been able to find information yet. Please if you can point us in the right direction

For pond plants go get some water cabbage and water lilys from the lake. That's what I did. They do well in your pond.

Aquarium shops - don't know of any Chapala or Ajijic but there is a knowledgeable guy in Joco, used to have a shop across from Telacable on the plaza. You'll probably find cool stuff in Guad.

Or the lake, what kind of fish would you get if you used lake water and plants?

Someone said the nursery next to the Telmex office in Ajijic has water plants.

Lake Chapala Society sometimes sells their overstocked fish.

there is a nursery that sell both including kois.. or at least used to sell them a few years ago in I believe it is San miguel Evangelista but it may be the next village.-- Take the road by the burrito place on the Guadalajara Chapala highway past San Juan and then the next place when you come to the road that comes from the other side of the lake turn right there is a nursery near by on the right. That is the way I remember it..I may be wrong but ask when you get to the village that sells the black stone molcajetes..it is the next village I believe..
