Other than financial, I'm wondering if there will be any repercussions

for Ford pulling the plug on the $1.6B dollar plant it was putting in Mx.

From what I read, there was a lot of advance work, including construction, going on in anticipation of the plant being built.

That's not to mention the 20+% gasoline price increase.

In many ways, we at Lakeside, IMO, are somewhat and to some degree immune to the direct consequences of those happenings. We don't have buses burned, roadblocks put up and shootouts, other than rarely.

I'm thinking there might be some trickle-down effect with higher prices and possibly more Mexicans coming into the area for work; hopefully not for crime.

IMO, with the new minimum daily wage now at $80.40 per DAY, this seems a veritable Garden of Eden for workers. Many workers here turn their noses up at $50 per hour.

Hopefully there won't be any "displaced hostility" here due to the problems.

IMO, It's going to be an interesting 2017 Lakeside.A new ballgame and maybe new rules.
