synthroid

Does anyone on this board know how much generic L-thyroxine (brand-Synthroid) cost? I take the 175ug dose.

They don't sell Synthroid in Mexico.

Surely the generic is sold Lakeside.

The levothyroxine my doctor prescribed is Eutirox. So it is not a generic of Synthroid, it is a competitor to them, I believe. He said I couldn't get Synthroid and I would have to switch.

Eutirox is the most common brand of levothyroxine sold locally. It's made by Merck and costs me less than 300 pesos for 50 tablets of 100 micrograms. I recently noticed Synthroid was available at a pharmacy in Chapala on Avenida Madero, across the street from the plaza. You do not need a prescription.

Generic L-thyroxine is available at WalMart. I priced my 150 mcg pills for shuggs and jigs and was not surprised but have forgotten the quote. I am also sure it can be had almost anywhere and at a better price. I checked it because NOB it is in its cheapest form about 50 cents a tab.

People should be checked regularly as this is very common.
