Re: Catholic or private school in chapala
What level are you inquiring about?
There is a primaria and secondaria operated by an order of monjas on Flavio Romero de Velasco, between 5 de Mayo and Zaragosa in Chapala.
Good school.
Preparatoria, I think not. Only the U de G prepa in Chapala.
No idea about tuition around here as my last kids schooled locally in the early 90's. All my grand daughters are in Guadalajara area schools.

There are more than just two private schools in Ajijic/Chapala. Depending one your needs, (English/Spanish and grade of child) Some are better than others. Other things to remember when looking at cost: Registration fee, Books, and Uniform.sallys other sister wrote:Can anyone tell me if there is a Catholic school in or around Chapala, also I noticed there was two private schools in the area, anyone have an idea how much tuition is. thanks SOS

I noticed on the net there was two schools one just west of Chapala and one west of Aijjic and Joco. Do you know if the one in Chapala has a web site. Thank you for your response.

I'm not sure what school, specificly you are requesting information on.
Octavio Paz: Has a campus in far west Ajijic and in Rebires del pilar Chapala (split by grade). https://www.facebook.com/ColegioOctavioPazChapala
Terranova: West Ajijic. https://www.facebook.com/institutoterranovaajijic/
Tohui Mocel: West Ajijic. https://www.facebook.com/Tohui-Mocel-863824447044321/
Loyola: San Antonio Tly. https://www.facebook.com/Instituto-Loyola-de-Chapala-435183513210154/
Decroly: Chapala (west end of the boardwalk) https://www.facebook.com/CENTRO-ESCOLAR-DECROLY-136614416370529/
There is also another two in Chapala but I can't remember their names right off hand.
There is also the Instituto Internacional: https://www.facebook.com/InstitutoInternacionalChapala/
But they don't do 3rd grade
Another warning I will give, The teachers move around quite a bit, and the attitude in the schools also change, so old reviews are not always accurate.
I am not aware of any privet schools in Joco.
