Valle de Bravo

Has anyone been there? I'm thinking of taking a trip there. It is supposed to be quite nice with a big, clear lake. Playground for Mexico City.

Looking at rentals and RE it is at least double the price of Ajijic, maybe more. The lake looks beautiful which probably explains the attraction. I'm definitely going to check it out. Being at a higher elevation than here the weather shouldn't be too bad either.

When Susan lived in DF she and her then husband owned a home there (I believe he still owns it but has rented it out long-term to someone.) She spent many weekends and vacations there and loved it. It's been a few years now but if you have a list of places to stay she may have an opinion on some/all. Just let me know.

Will do Axixic. I'm leaning towards renting a large house for a few days as I have friends that want to go too.

i have been there a couple of times. it has beautiful scenery. it is a valley surrounded by beautiful mountains. however there doesnt seem to be much to do there

Really? I thought the lake was cleaner than ours and there were a lot of water sports. No? What about hiking, paragliding, etc seems like I've seen pics of all that going on there. Outdoor activities are the attraction, I thought. Waterfalls. . .

Ues I jave been there and it is very nice, lots of expensive places and shops Ot also get pretty brisk..The week-ends hop and it is pretty dead otherwise.

I have been thru there briefly and thought it was beautiful and peaceful. Always wanted to stay at "The Fireflies":
