need new screens for Home Depot windows
With a remodel of a few years ago, I used Home Depot windows. I now need 2 screens replaced.....and I can't get them made lakeside (I checked 2 places).
Does anyone know if I can order the replacement screens from Home Depot .... I'm asking in advance before making a trip to Home Depot and hoping someone might know.
Thanks!

Home Depot has home delivery. I have bought several things on line from them. It was delivered within 2 days. They call ahead before arriving. Check out their website.

Re: need new screens for Home Depot windows
I think I may have to special order the replacement screens that came with windows I had installed. I've not seen the screens sold separately ... and they will need to be ordered to fit if they are available. So, I'm really asking if anyone has ever replaced screens that were part of the window unit ... not sold separately. This is a little different than finding someone on-line and having it delivered.

I'm not sure what you're trying to convey. Is it the screen itself that is damaged or pulled out from its frame? Are your screens held in place with "spline"? That's like a small round gasket.
If that is the case, anyone who makes complete screens can remove the screen by removing the spline (take tweezers or a small screw driver and pull it out). Cut screen to fit (maybe an inch larger than needed and use spline tool (hand tool with wheel on the end) to push new spline into place. Trim screen.
I would call Jaime at Viluma to get the job done if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.

Re: need new screens for Home Depot windows
The damaged screen is the frame, not the screening. In both cases, the frames need to be replaced.
These are typical screens that are included when you buy a complete new window in a frame that is then placed into a house with an opening made for that window. Most windows will come with a screen that covers the portion of the window that opens.
The screen is in a aluminum frame, with screening (mesh). At the top of the frames, in this case, is a small strip of metal that works as a spring which is depressed against the top of the window frame that allows the entire screen frame to slip into place.
In both cases, I need the whole screen .... the frame and the screening that is always included with the frame. I HAVE GONE TO TWO PLACES, INCLUDING VILUMA, LAKESIDE .... and they cannot make anything that fits. They don't have the same size aluminum (they use something completely different in size and design) and they don't have the same metal "spring" to be used for the top.
Each of the screens will need to be ordered based on the size of the windows originally purchased. The windows are stock sizes, not custom made, but I have not seen the screens sold separately.

Re: need new screens for Home Depot windows
That's a much better explanation. Thanks.
May I suggest that you call a Home Depot in the States or Canada and give them the story and hopefully, the stock number of your windows. They should be able to tell you if you can purchase the screens separately. I'm suggesting the U.S. or Canada only if you are not comfortable in Spanish.
Now if only they stocked Double Hung Double Tilt replacement windows, I would be in heaven.

actually, that's a good idea. I'm in/out of the US enough to be able to order them and pick them up next trip.
For geewiz, I may check my next trip to HD/Guad just to see what's possible. The Lopez Mateos store has one person with good English .... he knows who I am by sight and we always chat when I'm in the store.
I hear you about the 'Double Hung Double Tilt" windows ... wishful thinking.
