I agree, much smoother way to go, and only 65 pesos to avoid all those topes and rough spots on the Joco bypass. 4 lane all the way.

It took 38 minutes to drive from Walmart to the 54D via the new ML. We did Manzanillo in 3 1/2 hours including a 20 minute stop. Garmin says we saved 16 minutes taking the ML versus the route via Joco. I do drive 130 to 140 kmh........

Did you find the southbound exit onto 54D/Lopez Mateos to be without a problem?...(open, signs, construction, etc., etc.)?

There are sure a lot of obreros along the whole length of the ML with mountain climbing gear placing that "chicken wire" to prevent the rock slides. lol!
