Found - Budgie

We found a small yellow & green budgie sitting on the sidewalk near the LCS. He must have escaped and been roughed up by a cat or other bird. If anyone has lost him or if anyone wants a budgie send me a note. We can't keep him.

If the owner does not show up, does the animal shelter still have all of the birds? Perhaps they will take the little fella.

No. The birds are all gone. In an ironic twist, that area is devoted to cats. It is a really nice cat shelter.

Probably cold, hungry and thirsty. I'd love to have him but predator cat is already drooling. Ask around your hood, someone will take him. Mexicans love them. How about FB animals page? Or BBBS?

We gave him some seed and water but he's not doing too good. He may not make it.......

No, probably won't. They're very fragile and once they start going downhill it's almost impossible to turn them around. Wrap him in a towel for warmth and comfort. Poor little thing.

I can go by and pick him up tomorrow if no one claims it and if it makes it..Let me know.
I had a tecolote that we rescued and released so i have cages..

Unfortunately poor Pecker passed away shortly after we brought him home. Thanks for the offer though......
