anyone know if there are buses going from Chapala to La Barca?  Or from Ajijic.

Direct, no.......You "might" be able to make a transfer at the burrito restaurant at the La Barca turnoff, with some luck.

If it were me, I'd go have a chat with the lady at the bus station in Chapala. Agree with Slainte, I think you'd have to take Chapala Bus up to the turn off, and hopefully they will drop you off, and you can catch a bus on that highway somehow/somewhere all the way to La Barca. She will know. Suerte.

How about UBER from here? Or UBER from the burrito restaurant?

Umm, I don't think you can "call" UBER you have to have the app. I just put La Barca in on my app and it quotes 783.53.

Correct. I just checked my Uber app and they quote $802 mxn from Ajijic to La Barca.
