Anyone have recommendations for place to stay in Mazamitla area? Cabin/Casita in the woods, not hotel in the village.

Be sure to take a jacket or serious sweater. It gets cold up there.

But during the mid day it is still very warm in Mazamitla. Think GTO and SMA. Its about the same elevation and about the same temps year round.

Today they are calling for a high of 30c and a low of 12c......

overnight is more like 9, 10 ..Guanajuato and San Miguel are dryer..Mazamitla is more like some areas of Chiapas, yes it gets warm during the day but the nights are cold and you get more rain . After the rain it is cold no matter what.
