Anyone know this local artist who signs, "at" ?
I've seen these figures for sale in Ajijic, Tonala, Tlaquepaque, Mazamitla and a few other places. Anyone know who the artist is? I believe it's a woman. Some of her pieces, which range from a few inches to 60 inches, have the letter "at" stamped into them.
My wife and I have collected a few of these over the last couple of years and now I have a large abstract painting on wood by the same artist. Would love to know a little more about the artist.

Ask the proprietor at the Gallery "Sol Mexicano" in Ajijic, on Colon, west side of of street, just south of Bancomer. I think her name is Lorraine: blonde hair, Australian or British accent. She knows. I needed to get a piece done by the same artist about 3 years ago and she arranged it for me.

Lorraine, who is English, was reluctant to tell me, as was the person in Bella Sierra gallery in Mazamitla, which all adds to the mystery and intrigue!

Try asking some of the local sculptors and artists.
Probably the galleries want to sell to you rather than turn you on to the artist so you can buy direct.

If the artist is told of the Gallery which led to him/her then the artist should pay the gallery the normal commission. That would be ethical and correct... imho
