This is one of the ongoing technical issues of TOB. It regularly comes and goes. It sometimes lasts briefly and other times goes on and on. There was a thread devoted to it over there. No one involved with the board responded. They don’t give a shit. If you want a reliable web board, TOB would not be it.

I think you're right about them not being too concerned about it. Why would anybody avail themselves of services Chapala.com offers if they don't care about the image they present to the public?

Probably the same people that complain endlessly about it yet still use it??

People post about it here in the hope that the post will let the other board know that they are down. Otherwise they may never know?

I wasn't allowed to edit my message above so I will post it here. What if posting that TOB is down is the only way they find out it isn't working. I imagine they read this board. If this board does not want people posting about TOB just say so and I won't. I don't understand why it has to be some kind of competition.

Nonsense...if you want to have warts removed, have your IPhone battery replaced or your sinus cleared....then your post goes right thru. It also helps if you are a world famous wart covered moderator.

It is not a competition. As administrator of this board, CBob gets tired of hearing that TOB is down when there is nothing he can do about it. Posting here in the hopes that a mod or admin from the TOB will see it and hop right on a fix is naive at best. As I said, TOB has many ongoing technical issues that they know about but don’t care to, can’t, or won’t tackle. Continue to post about their issues here if you believe it will result in fixes but don’t get all sensitive about it when you get teased by people who have been reading such complaints for literally years.

You have to wonder why people continue reading complaints about TOB if it bothers them.

--> 0m14.135s

14 seconds to respond.

For a comparison, here's insidelakeside.com...

(time wget -p --no-cache --delete-after insidelakeside.com -q ) 2>&1 | awk '/real/ {print $2}'
-->0m1.025s

1 second.
