attempted purse theft

heads up to women who hang their purse on the back of seat.
someone tried to steal a women's purse this morning while eating at Gosha's.
If the waiter had not noticed the purse would have been gone.There were 8 of us sitting at the table and no one noticed.

Just heard from a friend that her purse was lifted at Go Bistro yesterday.

I see women all the time looping their purse handles over the back of the chair; unless they still have eyes in the back of their heads from when they had kids, their purses are easy pickings.

I don't care for the purse stands for the same reason, scootching by and taking a pocketbook would be very easy on those stands. I opt for on the floor between my feet under the table toward the middle. Sometimes my lap.

The purse stands are okay if they are in your line of sight right next to you and you have the kind of purse that would be awkward to snitch.
(I don't like to put mine on a floor of dubious cleanliness.) However,
Solajic's right in terms of safety.
Above all......don't put it in your shopping cart !
