Internet slower than molassas

My normal 3 Mps just dumped me into the bushes with .67 Mps--right in the middle of a download. I hate Telmex. Grrrrgggghhhh

I am 100% wifi so can't comment on TM internet speed, Gamina, but the hospital had its grand opening this morning and maybe they went live and slowing SAT speeds? Dunno.

In Ajijic, this afternoon, everything is working well on telmex. 10.21 Mb/sec down by 0.5 Mb/sec up.

Apparently, I am 1070 meters from my DSLAM card (the point where two of the four wires in my telephone line connect to the internet )  And it is usually quite stable. My neighbor is connected to ILOX and has much faster internet.

But give me a little faster speed than I now have and it is all I need. I would be in 7th heaven if I had 15 to 20 down by 2 up (Still much slower than the slowest ILOX speed package offered)

Once you get a little more speed, that is all you will be wanting, more and more speed.

Some of those providers will throttle you whenever you reach what they consider your share of downloaded or uploaded volume.  Mine is 5MB.  At about the middle of the month it drops to 1.5MB.  Then on the first of the month it goes back to 5, and the clock starts ticking again. Of course they never tell you that when you sign up.

TelMex lakeside does not throttle, ever. We are very lucky.

I have notice my Ilox internet cutting in and out during the day. I know this because when it happens all my devices ( phone, tablet, laptop) switch back to my Telmex modem which I still have up and running. This may be due to the constant addition of new customers which may temporarily disrupt the system.

Could be high use too - are the kids still out of school?

Could be however I doubt they haven't installed any more than 1000 customers around here yet.
