It's all good. You go find the clothes because, if Slainte39 keeps eating your smoked salmon and blueberry scones and quiche lorraine and chicken pot pies, he's gonna need new clothes too.

Smoked Salmon is low in calories and high in quality protiens, vitamins and Omega oils. Health food extraordinaire.......lol. The down side is the salt but I use as little as possible in my brine.
Re: Monday market in Chapala
LOL! It's the cream cheese and whatever it's on that are adding the calories.
It was meant to be funny so don't be so defensive. According to his own post, his Doctor has recommended eating more fat. ;)

I don´t know who gave you a thumbs down, but it sure wasn´t me.
Yes, I have trouble keeping the weight up, because of high blood sugar, I can´t eat all the carbs I would like to, so I have to make up for it by eating high calorie foods with fat.
High fat cottage cheese, whole milk, avocados, peanut butter, nuts, and on and on. Very little bread and no doughnuts or cinnamon rolls.
Potatoes only if I´m eating out and that´s tough when you have Irish blood in your veins.

Ah yes. My Welsh grandmother married to my Irish grandfather used to say about potatoes... "I've eaten many a field full."
My sympathies.

hijacked for sure. Todo Bueno told me that 'used' or donated clothes were in a different category than new clothes such as Walmarts, so TB is not able to sell clothes at the moment. Could be same for Tiaugus vendors, as they sell new & used in their stalls.. Going north for new inventory could be an issue too. Those guys work so hard for their money. Fun to be one of the few gringo shoppers too.

Re: Monday market in Chapala
Maybe what this thread needs is splitting into its component parts?
Let's give one to the Irish descendants and potato lovers, one to the Chapala Monday Market, one to the Sunrise Cafe Monday Market and then, Todo Bueno and all the rest.
Fun thread anyway!
