A close friend tested positive today. We went and got tested and it was negative as was his sister and mother whom he lives with. It is running ranpamt around here. Be safe.

Because it's not being hyped like it was... it makes it seem like it's become less of a problem ..when obvioulsy that's not the case. Charts are just not the same as boots on the ground.

Is that the same as saying that if you don't know any military personnel or civilians in a foreign land that there is no war? Or that the holocaust never happened because you didn't see it?
I'm tired of interviews from hospital beds of people wishing they'd gotten vaccinated. Too little, too late.

With the new variant and less than 30% vaccinated I fear Mexico is in for the biggest wave yet. They need to dramatically ramp up their vaccinations and open it up to the private sector to also provide vaccines.

Agree with that totally CBob! The paucity of cases in many areas for many months has dimmed the importance of vaccination... until NOW. "None of us is safe until we are all safe". We must remove the sources for the virus to breed because, if it can breed, it can mutate.

The real breeding ground is now the anti-vaxxers, isn't it. Why do I see the 74 million who voted for T**** all looking like the guy in Kiko's cartoon?

I’m not afraid of needle sticks or skin lacerations. Even when I fractured my wrist as a kid, it was no big deal. But I would hate to be in respiratory distress. My mom said I had bronchitis as a baby. Maybe that’s where my fear started. I used to be a respiratory therapist and saw a lot of respiratory distress patients.
A shot in the arm is a minuscule inconvenience that I’m more than willing to tolerate to prevent my nightmares to occur.

Don't just concentrate on the ventilator tubing. There will be IV lines running into you. You will have a tube up your urethra to your bladder and your urine will be going into a bag. Your anus will be packed to prevent leaking diarrhea. Being in a hospital in ICU is not for sissies... and these yahoo's don't want a simple vaccination.

I don't think Jalisco or anywhere in Mexico will implement something that may impair their tourism hence the reason they don't currently require testing or quarantining for anyone entering the country.
