1.  Farmacia Jessica is gone.
2.  Mi Mexico has an official Clausurado tape around it
3.  The former Los Telares restaurant site has a For Rent sign (the restaurant closed a few years ago but has been vacant since that time)
4.  Garufa restaurant is closed and the building is for sale
5.  The old Tango site is vacant again and for rent
6.  Peacock has been closed for at least 2 weeks....never seen it closed that long before.

Building Dept. shutdown of permitless construction, zoning violations, failure to pay rent, taxes or operating without a business license.

The tape is used to close a business, signed by the local government due to some violation (sometimes for not paying taxes of some sort).

I have also seen it on construction projects that are in some sort of violation.  They are closed down until the owner resolves the issue.

TMK, Mi Mexico wasn't under any sort of construction; had been open for business up until the tape wrapped their front entry about a week+ ago.

The former Los Telares was for sale for a long time. I guess it didn't sell. Tango is for rent for a mere 50K pesos per month. Good luck with that. I can't imagine how Garafu lasted as long as it did. I thought it had to be a laundering operation.

About 6 months ago, after the For Sale signs came down at Los Telares, I saw a crew of what looked like surveyors going in and out with equipment for a few days. I thought maybe it had sold and it might be redeveloped. But no action until the new For Rent signs.

I agree on Garufa!
