Expats Abroad
Beware having your SS deposited in a foreign bank. The administration doesn't like expats receiving money overseas and spending it out of the US. It's part of the America First agenda.

Re: Expats Abroad
It has been addressed many times. The President has no power to change SS ...it must be done in the Congress and there are several bills waiting to be voted on to save SS from a short fall that will result in cutting payments..,.no one has suggested stopping expats from receiving their money outside the usa except to places like North korea....

And how does "it has to be done in Congress" matter? The Republicans have the House majority and the Senate now. They will do whatever Trump and his cohorts tell them to.

The House is still in question. Though GOP favored to retain it by a slim margin.

Re: Expats Abroad
We can only hope that those Republicans who grew a backbone during the election will stick up for what's right. However, I think Trump has dirt on all of them and will use it as leverage to control them. Sad times.
Sorry Trailrunner... I'm not giving financial advice to anyone. Just glad that I'm Canadian although we have our own set of problems.

fyi, there were ONLY two currently sitting GOP Congresspersons who came out against trump. And one was Mike Pence's brother
Others like ex-Governors, former Congresspersons, ex-Cabinet members, ex-military leaders, etc. had no effect on GOP voters and will have even less now that trump has been re-elected.
